RB-8R-48V Board

The board provides 8 fully independent relays, capable of handling a maximum current of 10 A each; it is an outstanding solution for automotive, lamp or alarms, emergency switch, motor direction control, electric brake, robotics applications and much more.

The board accepts inputs ranging up to 48 V, and is equipped with a double stabilized supplier at 12V and 5 V.This makes the board an excellent solution when one needs to operate logic boards (requiring a stabilized supply) and high power relays with a unstabilized DC source as a battery.

The board has been designed keeping robustness and flexibility in mind. Connections can be made in several different ways:

* With all inputs loops separate and independent from each other.
* With all inputs sharing a common reference.
* With any mix of separate loops and common reference loops.

A wide range of optoisolated input voltages

The input voltage ranges from -48V to + 48 V making the board suitable for many different applications. Safety is guaranteed by optically isolated inputs, providing a complete separation between inputs, outputs and the circuitry driving the relays.


Power supply

The power voltage can be anywhere between 15 and 48 volt DC and does not require to be regulated, making this board ideal for battery operation. Designed to be integrated with other devices, the boards provides a 5 V and 12 V regulated DC output to supply other boards.

The load capability is relevant: each relay is capable of handling up to 48 V and 10 A, bringing the board to an overall switching capability of 80 A. Each relay provides NO and NC contact. In order to provide easyness of maintanance all the IC are socket mounted.
